Ginza

First shot of Ginza!
Not sure what this building is.

But WOAH!
Nice shot right? Haha!
Another nice shot of Ginza!
Want to find out more about Ginza?
Visit Japan Guide!

Nice long stretch of department stores,
boutiques, restaurants, and much more.
Ginza Wako! The symbol of Ginza!
On Raissa's "Place to Visit" List!

Girls in Yukatas.
They "happened" to be in the shot.
So pretty right?

We visited Ginza on a Sunday so the roads were
closed. We got to walk down the roads
LIKE A BOSS!
Not sure what this is called, but they had long
line of people standing by the side of the road
getting ready to pour buckets of water
ONTO the road.
Really cool, and I'm guessing they only
do this in Summer.
They even had performers for that
special "moment".
It lasted like, as long as it takes to pour
a bucket of water.
So yes, I would say it was a moment.

They even lined the streets with ice sculptures!
Perfect for the weather/season.

They were showing their
MAD SKILLZ!
Carving ice right before our eyes!

AWESOME right?
Ice sculpting SWAGGER.

Apple Store in Ginza!

Check out his awesome drawing tools!

Super talented uncle sketching the
stretch of buildings in Ginza.

Free Starbucks, anyone?
Perfect for the hot weather!

Just a glimpse of the kind of shops they have.

Some filming going on on the streets!

Haha, SPOTTED!
WeeHung waiting for Raissa and I
while we were shopping.

SUPER KAWAII DOG
WEARING A PINK KIMONO!

Just check out how popular she was!
I'm guessing she's a SHE
because you know, PINK KIMONO

More shopping, anyone?

Check out the interior of the
12 storey Uniqlo store, everyone!
SHEER AWESOME-NESS.
I literally stood there staring at it
just because I couldn't figure out
how it worked.

Raissa smiling for the camera.
HEH, okay random.

Cool store entrance.
It was linked to the Uniqlo store
on one of the 12 floors.

You've just gotta catch em' all, right?

Look at the super cool displays!
Display for all their graphic tees.

Just look at how pretty Uniqlo looks,
even from the outside!

Ginza Wako at night.
Pretty, pretty lights.

The streets of Ginza at night.
Notice how the roads aren't closed anymore?

Shinjuku

Hello everyone! Guess what?
Made another trip to Shinjuku and took more photos!
The image above is of our (Raissa and I) HELLO KITTY STASH!
It came in a box that was sent by Tama-san, together with soap and toilet paper.
(Long story)
He has been helping us ALOT with our stay here in Japan!
どうもありがとうございました Tama-san!

This is the Kitano Show Gakko (Kitano Elementary School) bus stop.
I take the bus from here to Chofu Station at 0912 every morning. (Except Weekends)
I will then take either the 0928 or 0938 Keio Line Rapid Commuter Train to
Kami-Kitazawa Station.
Creature of habit. Same routine, different day.

There are many performances by different people, everyday at Shinjuku!
It's like Orchard Road I guess, except that the songs are in Japanese.
This duo was AWESOME! The song they sang is stuck in my head now!

Shinjuku Skyscraper District!

TEA TIME!
Had a piece of cake at this little cafe(?) that served cakes, toast and tea!

Omoide Yokocho.
Basically a small network of alleyways along the tracks northwest of Shinjuku Station.
The narrow lanes are filled with dozens of tiny eateries serving ramen, soba, sushi, yakitori and kushiyaki.
Many restaurants consists of just one counter with some chairs, while others have a couple of tables.
(Thanks, http://www.japan-guide.com)

More shopping for you at Shinjuku?

PACHINKO SLOTS!
OH THIS WAS JUST, LIKE NO OTHER!
I've never actually dared to go into any of these shops, but that day I WAS ESPECIALLY DARING.
I mean YOLO (You Only Live Once), right?
Imagine the sound of A GAZILLION-BAZILLION tiny steel balls dropping into these machines.
Now take that sound in your imagination, TIMES THAT BY LIKE WOAH, I can't even describe it.
It was BEYOND ANYTHING YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE!
When I stepped out of the shop, I could LITERALLY HEAR THE SILENCE.
Maybe I'll go try playing it one day! YEAH!

Yodobashi Camera.
One of Japan's leading discount electronics retailers, and especially strong on camera equipment.
Yodobashi's main store is divided up between half a dozen buildings near the west exit of Shinjuku Station, while a smaller branch is located near the station's east exit.
(Thanks again, http://www.japan-guide.com)

Random shots of Rilakkuma and AKB48 catcher machine things.

Cool arcade games that they don't have in Singapore.
LE SIGH.

KAMO Soccer Shop.
Remember this place where I got my Japan jersey from?
Yeah, I went back there again. HA!
Try to imagine its SHEER AWESOME-NESS from these few images, okay!

Autographed boots and jerseys from many awesome soccer players from ALL AROUND THE WORLD.

They even have Lionel Messi's autographed boots!

Official Euro2012 match balls!

Lumine!
Owned by JR East and located both next to and above Shinjuku Station's South and East Exits.
Lumine is divided into "Lumine 1" and "Lumine 2" on either side of the South Exit and "Lumine Est" above the East Exit.
(Everyone, thank http://www.japan-guide.com)

The place Raissa is dying to visit.
The tumblr macaroon thingy.
I have to admit, they look soooo good!

DEAN & DELUCA.
Apparently according to Raissa, they have a branch in Singapore.
I got some bread/pastry (Whatever you call it) AND IT WAS AWESOME!

The other side of the Shinjuku train station.
Not sure what its called though, but its near Takashimaya and Kinokuniya bookstore.

Okay I admit it wasn't an accident that there were girls in REALLY PRETTY YUKATAS.
(In case you want to find out more about YUKATAS)
I wouldn't mind wearing one! SOOO PRETTYYYYY! *DROOLS*

Enjoy the pictures!
These places/things were all found in Shinjuku!
Awesome place to visit in Tokyo!
Okay, you're about to see a whole lot of pictures of the catching machine toys BUT!
THEY WERE TOO CUTE, I COULDN'T RESIST.
Besides, you can't find the same kind in Singapore. Hehe!

HUGE guitar place in Shinjuku!
Saw quite a few people inside just jamming.
WEE HUNG! Go here okay!

The Takashimaya here is soo different from the one in Singapore.
Awesome CUTE uniforms for staff, SUPER COOL TOILETS, HUGE lifts with LIFT MEN (What do you call them...?) and A WHOLE LOT MORE!
Didn't get to visit Kinokuniya bookstore because I had to catch the last bus at 2140.
YES, soo early! Forcing us to go home and rest early.
Good good, I like. HAHA!

Come back soon for my next post okay!
Hope you enjoyed this post. COMMENT OKAY!
